Crossroad

Standing on the crossroad, I have the option,

Whether to follow the wise or make my stand.

The wise have preached the safe path,

A road with security and what you expect,

To reach a place to make you a success in the society,

You will be inducted in the Wisest clan,

You shall earn all your materialistic earnings.

Taking un-tracked paths are satanic omens,

The reckless take the uncharted roads,

The reckless don't preach,

The reckless listen to their heart,

They follow the answers from within,

The road may end sooner,

The path may be endless,

I can never guess

But have the strength to predict,

To foretell adventures for the soul.

A spiritual awakening,

A road to redemption,

A path to life and not a trend.

Puzzles will be solved,

Difficulties overcome,

Dreams realized,

True happiness experienced.

But thou shalt be called reckless, rebel, selfish, dumb,

All for following thou's heart,

All for listening to thou's conscience,

All for being yourself,

All for what you want to be,

All depends on what I choose at the crossroad.

I just move and discover new crossroads,

The crossroads lead to new paths, new life, new experiences - the new ME.

Nice read! Pretty much on the lines of our discussion the other day... fear of failure/of the unknown holds us from taking the road less travelled... well written! :)
